沙漠的燥熱, 不見一點溼氣, 不安, 殘酷, 荒涼, 無助. 這些都在 Thin White Rope 的音樂裡.

Thin White Rope 的解散是 1995 樂團最大的損失. 這個始終守在獨立廠牌 Frontier 旗下的重量級樂團樂風奇特, 聽他們的音樂時, 像是在昏暗煙薰吵鬧的 pub 裡, 半醉聽著朋友訴說他的憤怒和不如意.
吉他手對吉他的運用相當傑出, 整個團的整體感覺也很好.

這張作品風格非常統一, 就是失意和厚重. 一張聽完不會有笑容的專輯.
翻唱 Can 的老歌 You Doo Right, 跳動的 bass 是不安的開始, 像是從地底傳來的鼓聲, 背後張牙舞爪的吉他襯托主唱的沉重. Diesel man 左聲道是間歇的吉他和嘶啞的主唱, 右聲則是門外嚎叫的狼群. 鼓點是憤怒的心跳.

The Triangle Song 是我最喜歡的一首曲子. 哀傷的吉他, 低調的歌詞, 曲子中段之後大塊厚重的吉他像是狂亂失控的情緒.

I am feeling just a little down
